Crystalyn Aucoin, MHS, PLPC, NCC

from the beginning

Whether you’re running a household, leading a business, or navigating a difficult life transition, those carrying the most pressure often have the least support. As a therapist, I help adults and couples navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity, resilience, and connection. I believe therapy provides an opportunity to slow down, become curious about what’s not working, and reconnect with the values that give your life direction and meaning.

Through curiosity, practical skill-building, and evidence-based approaches, we’ll work together to better understand your experiences, foster healing, and create meaningful change aligned with what matters most to you.

It takes courage to ask for help, and I don’t take that lightly. It would be an honor to walk alongside you on this journey. Schedule a free 10-minute consultation or call the number below.

Background:

After earning my Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Loyola University New Orleans, I spent nearly two decades working in both family business and entrepreneurship. Building a business gave me firsthand insight into the challenges of balancing career, relationships, family responsibilities, and personal growth. While I enjoyed the creativity and relationships these experiences provided, I found myself increasingly drawn to understanding people, their stories, and what helps them create meaningful lives and relationships.

Through the many seasons of my life, I developed a deep appreciation for the importance of living in alignment with what matters most. Those experiences ultimately inspired me to return to school and pursue a Master of Health Sciences in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from LSU Health Sciences Center. It was a decision that felt both natural and deeply meaningful.

Today, I bring both professional training and real-world experience to my work with clients, helping them navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity, purpose, and connection.

When I’m not in the office, you might find me painting, taking a long walk, cheering on my son from the sidelines, rebounding basketballs in the driveway, learning something new like pickleball or Mahjong, or spending time with family and friends.
